why is fuel so expensive in qld

Was shocked to see what fuel cost up in sunny state.. Fill up here at $1.44 per litre most was $1.48 but seen it up to$1.55 ..was $1.75 at Belyando I didnt buy any there pull up had lunch but seen plenty who were fueling up ... must be hard for all you people out there trying to travel on a pensi...
