Very nice here near the boat ramp. There is a van & tug also...the river view comes with the spot. Stayed further down last week. Robyn

For those who are self contained and what a peaceful site with 360 degree views, birds, two dams & a delightful host. This site is just 9k out of Mareeba. A great base to explore the area from. $5 pp great value.

we love the travel bit.....by road, and more often by air. ( have own aircraft, aviators for yrs and yrs ) anyway, as a consequence, we've called into many a country airstrip, and use same locations when on the road, they often have perfectly clean toilets ( if you need them ) often a water tap, quiet away...

hi one and all travelled for over a year and never stayed at free camps just wondering if theres much trouble or danger out there. we stay at cheaper parks we dont need a pool or play ground stuff long as the toots and showers are clean were happy lyn

We are heading up to Tin Can Bay from Port Stephens, in a small caravan in June, and looking for suggestions for an overnight stop between Tenterfield and Stanthorpe. Don't need anything flash, but a shower and a place to get a feed and a drink would be a bonus. Otherwise just a nice quiet out-of-the-way...
