12 Volt Air Pumps
(Preview)
I saw a 12 volt air pump advertised on the TV a few nights back. It was Tele marketing and cost about $80.00. I hate trying to check the van's tyres in cramped servos and wondered if any of you good people have used one or something similar. I think it was called Tiger and was shaped like a cordless drill. Loo...

Gas bottle to regulator hose failure.
(Preview)
These new hoses certainly don't last long - I fitted a new one just over 3 years ago and made sure I got a quality Australian made one, anyway she failed last week and blew out just above the regulator. My guess is that where it failed is on a bend which allows sunlight to pass through the braid and degrade th...

Solar dimensions
(Preview)
Hi all In the process of preparing my new Jayco 18ft semi off road ready for the big lap. I am having trouble finding panels that are 550m wide to fit the space on the roof. I can find them in 100w but that would mean additional panels and cost. Any assistance would be appreciated. Moorey

Whining noise in 2012 BT 50

I read a topic posted by old bob on 29th December 2015 in relation to a whining noise in a Ford Ranger posted by Old Bob. My problem is very similar in the BT 50. When towing after about 1 hr. on warm days, on slowing down a whine is audible in the cabin, is present for a short time and then disappears. I ha...

With the increasing interest of discussions regarding specific towing vehicles, perhaps this Site could include a vehicles discussion forum? Perhaps a sub-forum of Techies' Corner? Putting it out there for opinions and responses.

Hello, and some suggestions please. We are about to do the "Big Lap" in Jan 18, for 12 months; and am about to purchase a generator for the trip. My "on boards" require (if we use multiple devices at once) a 4kva generator. I would value your suggestions. Regards. Hetho.

The power Supply in my 20 YO Westport has finally carked it. On our last trip the LED lights seemed a bit dull & when I turned on the parallel incandescent ones they really went dull. Some wouldn't even switch on. So I deduced that I had no 12v output from the Power supply. Elec tests confirmed thi...
