We have a NCE 2.5 kg washing machine in our van, it doesn't get used unless we are in a Caravan Park with power and water. My question is it able to be used while we are free camping? The power is rated at 235W and a full load would use approx 20 L of water. Would a 300W inverter power this machine? Can I use the v...

It appears that Jeep haven't lifted their game with the new JL Wrangler. I see that it has scored a miserable One Star ANCAP rating. It probably won't change much for the Grey Nomad fraternity as it's unlikely to be used as a Tug, but the 4x4 people would be disappointed.

We have the up-right Waeco compressor fridge, during the high temperatures recently it never turned off. Looking at the fridge, it has a lower ventilation grill, and a vent on the roof. Last night my wife read out to me advise written in one of the big camp groups on how to stop leaking taps. The advise was to carry around gas fitters tread tape, and wrap this around the threads to stop the fittings leaking. This is not correct. Tap outlets have a 3/4 or 1" parallel thread on them. The outle...

If the front panel is inadvertently left up when towing the strong winds can pull it loose allowing wind and rain to easily get in. If the panel has been retained by its operating spring it's an easy fix. But even if it is lost replacement is still simple. As panels may take some time to be delivered rel...
