Hi, I purchased a dune fridge with the intention of running it as a freezer. However the seal does not work very well and it freezes up then I can'nt open it. Anyone had a similar problem or suggestion about how to fix it. It was out of warranty before I had a chance to use it.

I am consdering driving to the above region in ther near future. Currently (June 2026) everywhere out there is flooded, so the trip is not on. But when the roads are opened, what is the condition of the road surface? I have a Subaru Forester which has a space saver spare wheel and nice soft walled tyres....
