Hi everyone and belated happy New Year. We have been away in NZ for a couple of weeks and I must say I was amazed at the beauty and variety found there. Having spent a few days in Auckland around the notrth shore the ocean scenery is very spectacular. We then travelled to the Corromandel Penninsula...

Bubs made mention of writing up the trip. I think that if we feel comfy writing about trips both long and short, it's a great thing to do, almost theraputic in a way as it really makes one think about the people you meet, places you visit etc and great to read again later too. I started writing about my trip...

Well, the worst of it is over. The run up from Perth to Laverton was fine, as it was bitumen all the way. Laverton to Giles (more-or-less the WA/NT border) was mostly good, as good as a gravel road anywhere. From the NT border onwards, although the road was fairly good, there had been a lot of rain through...

Whoopee, on the road again, After cooling the tyres here in Bendigo for a while, we have accumalated all the gear required for the conversion, saved a bob or two compared with what it would have cost in the central highlands as well and we are on the way at last, bloody cold wind here, so will welcome the h...

Hi everyone. Over the past 12 years I have been living and working away from my family. They're in SA and I was in the Kimberleys. I made it routine to go south every second year. On the alternate years I would join fellow van park residents in an "Orphan's Christmas" where whoever came along...

I dont believe that there is a mob of senior women in here at all, I think it is a pack of twaddle gump, the women that I know would talk down a lightpole when they got together and yet here in a terrific forum setup just for that purpose it remains mostly silent, what about talking about the grandkids, the ne...

I'm planning to travel alone once I get myself set up. I really like the idea of travelling in a camper trailer. I've been to a couple of caravan shows and also to one place that makes them for you. The thing I like about camper trailers is that they're light to tow and they seem pretty easy to set up. I...

Well, after a few failed attempts to get away for some 'time out' by myself , it now feels very close to a fresh start happening again.
