Hot water problem
(Preview)
Gday. My uncle has just bought a second hand Jayco Expander And he's just found out the hot water doesn't work on mains water. If he needs hot water it will only work on the 12v pump, so drains his tank when he uses it. He got in touch with the previous owner and they said it's been like that since new??? Befor...

MAZDA 3.2 LT
(Preview)
I was thinking about upgrading to a 2nd hand 3.2 lt BT50. I've heard you can't wire an anderson plug direct to the battery, when the van is connected, the computer senses battery problems & disables the engine. Is this correct? if so how do you get around it. Cheers Pete

Finally overcame the slow drainage issues.
(Preview)
Hi all. The last 3 years since we started living in our caravan we have had issues with slow drains. In the shower you would have a foot bath and the washing up water would take ages to drain. Also the getting down and pushing those darn pipes in at camp, bit tough for an old guy with lots of arthritis. It seem...

flooring - checker plate or plywood??
(Preview)
Currently finishing off the frame for a DIY caravan (~3600x2200). Initially I was thinking of a trailer (but it morphed into a caravan) and hence I've had the concept of flooring it with 2.1mm checker plate steel (and rust proof painting it), but now wondering what's the best. I should be ok with weigh...

3 WAY FRIDGE ON 12V

HI ALL, Am I correct in thinking that if you connect a 3 way fridge direct to your 12v van battery/s with a inline fuse and battery charged by Solar, you will only use 12v power when fridge switched to 12v?? Reason, while travelling you could run fridge from van battery instead of tug and the Solar will kee...
