Awning stain

On a recent trip, I had a tight turn in a cramped caravan park. The awning on the van came in contact with a over hanging tree branch and left a dark green stain almost the length of the awning. When we got home, I tried to remove the stain with laundry liquid, but zero success. Any suggestion? Collo.
