Anyone travelled the Putty Road of late?
(Preview)
Many moons ago ....... back as far as the mid 50's we used to travel the Putty road north-west of Sydney, from Windsor to Singleton, when it was dirt. Over the years, it was tarred but still a rotten road to travel - heaven knows how much of it I walked with car sickness, my dad used to get out and we would walk...

Check ahead.
(Preview)
Caravan parks here in Kalgoorlie have been very busy and quite often full. to avoid disapoitment why not ring ahead and get a feel of the situation. We hate turning away, especially the elderly, there is a limit. This suggestion can apply anywhere on the circuit but moreso in the regional areas. Enjoy...

Magpie Season
(

)
(Preview)
I can't believe they've just done a big story on the news about magpie season! Quest newspapers are even running an online map of their nesting areas! I remember them swooping us on the way to our bus stop. We'd walk along with our ports on our heads. I can't believe people get so wound up about them!

(Preview)
I have read a few threads here and on other forums re whether or not to travel with a dog, and if so, what breed. Lots of opinion and comments. I wonder if the topic was widened to travelling companions in general, what discussion would emerge. There are folk who travel as a married couple, some travel as s...
