Attaching Solar Panel mounts to the vehicle roof.
(Preview)
An article written in the Grey Nomads web page suggested that solar panel mounts should not be just glued to the vehicle roof, but should be glued and screwed. As far as I am concerned, this advice is incorrect, and that a properly glued joint is better than a screwed and perhaps poorly glued joint. I mig...

Newbie - How best to park caravan
(Preview)
Hi, I'm new to the site and to caravaning/towing. I've just bought a secondhand caravan. It measures 3.6mx2.16m, so it's quite small as far as caravans go. I've done a lot of reading online, including how to reverse and tow it and I'm going on a towing course as well. So far I've managed to reverse in...

Replacing the Shower Mixer
(Preview)
Well it finally happened .. The shower combo in my Westport Van started spurting water after only 22 years! It seems that the molded 'plastic' plumbing split due to the pressure exerted by screwing the hot water tap too hard to turn it off. With a much increased pressure from a clogged up shower head, a...

Digital Display noise
(Preview)
Hi, I've had my RV for 5 years now, last night I decided to turn off the digital display as the light was annoying me. When I turned it back on this morning, it gave a very loud high pitch noise that won't stop, so that I have had to turn it off. Unfortunately, that means that I cannot switch my LED lights on now...
