Heading to Melb

We are heading down to Melb shortly. Staying at a Pf Caravan Park in Dromana on arrival. My query is . We are taking 7 days to drive down. Hubby wants to go the Newell. As it is faster I would like to take a quieter route as I will be hopefully doing a bit of the Towing for the first time. Cheers Kathy
