I knocked this up out of a old 44 gallon drum & bits of scrap metal I had out the back of the shed. Total cost spent on it was about $4 for bolts & nuts. Was just down at SuperCheap and bought a adhesive backed non-slip ribbed rubber pad for the step on our Avan - never seen these before and for under $5 it should help avoid a slip or two on the steel surface. They seem to be fairly decent quality and I'll clean the step first with petrol.
