Vehicle surprise.
(Preview)
When I brought the tug, I wanted a year at least within range of the supplier to make sure warranty problems were handled correctly. During that time, I had a leaking main seal, not bad, but leaking, and of course it was replaced. After my last service it was noted that the seal was leaking again, so I chas...

Suburban HWS (2)
(Preview)
I'm going to post some questions - involving weight - the first two are not as long-winded as the others. Does a Suburban HWS have to be full of water when travelling, particularly on dirt roads? Could damage occur to the element & anode if they are not "supported" by the water? It holds 20L(+?) o...

Charging tha caravan from our house
(closed)
(Preview)
Hello everyone.
We have just had our new caravan delivered and are busy buying all the extras.
A few friends have told me that it's easy to grind down the 15amp caravan plug so it fits into a house socket (although I understand it's illegal)
Is it possible to buy a converter so that I can charge the frid...

Jayco Starcraft O/B Door
(Preview)
This has probably happened to someone else and been covered. However just a warning to be careful if you intend drilling screws in the door frame. As the door handles are a little low, it's difficult for taller people to reach when closing the door after entering the van. To overcome this problem, I pla...

Water leak from Front Window when driving in rain
(Preview)
Gday Have a Coromal 542 with a water leak in both bottom corners of the front window, when driving in rain. Has anyone ever had this problem and how did you fix it? I'm thinking I will have to pull the window out and reseal and refit. Or it may be the rubber seal on the glass surround may allow the rain to co...

Teac TV running off 12v.

I thought the TEAC 24"TV ran directly off the 12v system in the van, but I have found that the central pin in the 12v plug that goes into the TV is not an off the shelf size. Doing a bit more searching I find that there is an adaptor put out by TEAC selling for $80, apparently this filters and regulates the low v...

towbar creak
(Preview)
Hopefully someone could advise me of the cause. With my van on the towbar, it creaks and grones when turning. I have sprayed some silicone spray on the ball & coupling, also inside where the WDH goes. I know my van is not overweight. What could be the cause?
